Been really wanting to draw Luna lately. Love her concept, she's really pretty. Her mane is the frickin' night sky and I love that. She has a nice color palette, and as a character has noticeable development for such few appearances.

I do love her other version, but it did confuse me in the beginning. I know she's the younger sister, but you know she's at least 1,000 years old and I thought she looked a little too young...but still damn adorable. But I love the change made to her, seems more appropriate to me and shows that she's grown.

I always thought the reason she still looked so young was that she was trapped in the moon for all of those thousand years, so she probably didn't age. Might explain why the princesses look closer in age the next time she shows up again, too.

I was going to favorite this, but then realized that it only had 6 comments, which was a crying shame. Artwork this wonderful deserves much more than just six comments~

Anyway, the picture itself is lovely--everything about it. I love how Luna looks in your style, I love the background and the textures, and I love how simple yet beautiful everything is. The coloring job is fantastic too.

Ah, beautiful work. I quite like overall colorset of a night forest and composition overall, and the way you laid down the highlights and played the light to avoid making Luna blend with the background. Also - dem gorgeous wings <3

Is this piece just one-shot with pones or, may be, you're planing to draw her sister, Princess Celestia as well? I'd love to see how you will handle a bit more light/brighter composition with her.

Really like the way this looks! What was your inspiration for the scene? Also, her shoes/grieves are interesting, what was the reason for making them separate from her foreleg like the one does?
